Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information I collect through gracemccarrick.com, why I collect it, and the choices you have. The site is run by Grace Note Strategies, LLC, 651 North Broad Street, Middletown, DE 19709 (“I,” “me” or “my”).
What I collect
- Newsletter sign-ups: your email address.
- Work With Me form: your name, email address, title or role, company, country, company size and timeline, what you’re interested in, how you found me, and anything you write in your message.
- Other messages: whatever you choose to include if you email me directly.
- Automatic information: like most websites, the site’s services may record technical details such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the pages you view. Some of this uses cookies, described below.
How I use it
- To reply to your inquiry and discuss working together.
- To send the newsletter you signed up for.
- To run, secure and improve the site, including preventing spam.
- To keep business records and meet legal obligations.
If you’re in the European Economic Area or the UK, my legal bases are your consent (newsletter), taking steps at your request before a contract (inquiries), and my legitimate interests in running and protecting my business and site.
Who I share it with
I don’t sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. I share it only with service providers that help me run the site and my business, and when required by law or to protect my legal rights. These providers include:
- Squarespace for website hosting, forms, contact storage and site analytics.
- Google for email and for spam protection (reCAPTCHA), and for fonts on the site.
- Adobe for fonts on the site.
- Email marketing providers I use to send the newsletter.
If my business is ever sold or reorganized, your information may transfer as part of that transaction.
Cookies
The site uses cookies and similar technologies that are needed for it to work, to protect against spam, and to measure visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features, including the forms, may not work properly.
Links to other sites
The site links to services like Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok. Those services have their own privacy practices, and this policy doesn’t cover them.
How long I keep it
I keep newsletter information until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. I keep inquiries and related records for as long as they’re useful for our conversation or working relationship, and as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any issue. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or limit certain uses, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
To make a request, email partnerships@gracemccarrick.com. I may need to verify your identity first, and I won’t treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Security and international visitors
I take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no website or online service is completely secure. I’m based in the United States, and my service providers may process information in the United States and other countries, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
Children
This site is intended for adults and isn’t directed to children. I don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given me information, please contact me and I’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If I update this policy, I’ll post the new version here and change the date at the top.
